Alyssa Braley is a 2021 C/1B with a sub-1.8 pop time and an overhand velo in the low 60s. She is not afraid to throw to any base to keep runners honest and demonstrates consistent accuracy with great footwork behind the plate. She is extremely athletic and quick to pop up for any foul balls and bunts that are laid down. She is a very versatile player because of her natural on-field awareness and can be utilized in the outfield as well as almost anywhere in the field that she is needed but is generally found on 3B when not behind the dish. Offensively, she is a consistent line-drive hitter who has deceiving power for her size, allowing her to drive the ball to the open gaps. She is aggressive on the bases and is definitely a threat to the defense. She is one of the hardest-working kids I’ve seen and is constantly working to perfect her craft on her own outside of practice, making it tough to keep her out of the gym. She is definitely one to keep your eye on as she develops and will prove to be a huge asset at the next level.

MESSAGE FROM ALYSSA
My name is Alyssa Braley. I am a 2021 at Alexander High School in Winston, GA, with a 3.6 GPA. I am a member of the Texas Glory travel team. My primary position is catcher, but I also play corner infield because of my strong overhand throw (62 mph). However, I will play any position the coach needs me to play.
Defensively, I am a great asset for any team with my focus, situational awareness and quick pop time of 1.75 to keep runners honest. Offensively, I have a .436 batting average and a .529 OBP, and I am always working hard in the cages to better myself.
I believe that success at home, school and on the field equals success in life. I am a team player that puts 100% in everything I do to improve each day. My love of the game fuels my desire to compete daily on and off the field. It drives me to do my best each day in school, at home and on the field with my teammates. I know that I have the heart and desire to play at the college level. My love of the game has driven me to where I am today, and I would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to prove myself when selected to play for a collegiate team. I am prepared to work hard, stay focused and earn my place on a roster.
I appreciate the opportunity to share this information with you. Thank you for taking the time to find out more about my aspirations.
