Abby Orr is a hard-working and dedicated 2021 SS/OF/1B that might surprise you a bit. She is a 6-1, 150-pound straight stud and will definitely turn some heads. She’s a LEGIT SS with exceptional range and a cannon for an arm with 60s velocity. The kid will go full on superman and makes it look routine. She is even working to pitch and progressing nicely with velos in the mid 50s after less than 2 years learning. An athlete with a strong softball IQ and true leadership ability. Offensively, Abby can swing it and uses her long limbs to her advantage. The ball leaves the yard often with this kiddo at the dish. She will compete for roster spot in any line up and can play high level ball.

MESSAGE FROM ABBY
My name is Abby Orr, and I am a 6-foot-1 2021 SS/OF/1B from North Platte, NE. My overhand velocity is 63 mph and my bat exit is 70 mph. I have also started pitching a couple of years ago and have good control and can throw mid 50s today with my fastball. I’ll keep working on this and be in the 60s soon. In school, I maintain a 3.9 GPA and will be taking my ACT test shortly. As a sophomore, I received my letter in academics, which I am equally as proud of. As a softball player, I have earned an all-conference selection in both my freshman and sophomore years. I am a multi-sport athlete and also play basketball as a forward and center and soccer where I am the goalie.
I also love music and can play multiple instruments such as the ukulele, saxophone, guitar, piano and trumpet. I can also write music. I enjoy putting them all together and singing as well and this is typically what you will find me doing when I am not competing or working out. If you’re lucky, you might even catch me dancing.
I dream of playing softball in college and will do whatever it takes to get there. I have been told that I should pursue this dream and could possibly play at a high level, but as long as I find a place that I love, the level doesn’t matter to me. Juggling my studies and athletics shouldn’t be a problem for me, because I am driven and well-organized. I believe you will see that in me when we meet.
Come on out and see me play, and maybe I will be a good fit for your program. Either way, you will not be disappointed.
Thank you for reading a little about me, and I look forward to learning more about your program.
