ScoutU, a family-owned and operated company, combines the technology athletes need with the personal guidance and recruiting expertise families need. We scout games and events, looking for college talent. Once we identify an athlete as having college potential from seeing him or her play in person, on video and/or by talking to at least one of his or her coaches, we set up an in-home or online video chat consultation to determine if the athlete has the drive, character, work ethic and academic capabilities to get recruited by college coaches. We focus on athletes we determine have the potential to play at the college level and who colleges may have an interest in recruiting. We have this standard to keep our impeccable reputation with college coaches and also it’s only fair to the athlete to give them an honest evaluation if he or she can actually get recruited to play in college. We come up with a game plan for the athlete to maximize his or her exposure to colleges. We give a trustworthy assessment of which colleges may be the best fit for the athlete and where the athlete has a realistic opportunity to be recruited.

SMART MATCH
Finding the right college programs based on what matters most to the athlete
ScoutU will send the athlete’s emails to schools that fit the athlete’s preferences. Criteria that will be considered include the following:
- Location: Prospect selects the locations he/she is most interested in.
- Divisions: Prospect selects the divisions he/she is most interested in. ScoutU will give advice, if necessary, on what divisions to select based on where the athlete is in the recruiting process and the athlete’s potential.
- Major: Only schools that offer your major will receive your email.
- Academic Selectivity: We target schools that fit the athlete academically, considering the academic admission standards of the college.
- Enrollment Size: The prospect will be able to pick which size schools he/she prefers.
- By Conference: Can pick up to any 5 conferences.
- Nearby Schools: Can pick colleges within 200 miles of any zip code.
- Roster Needs: Seniors (as of June before senior year) and college transfers also receive a search of college rosters that are more likely recruiting his/her position.
Note: By Conference, Nearby Schools and Roster Needs are only available in baseball, basketball, football, soccer and softball.

- Search Criteria: Sport, division, conference, field of study, location, public or private, graduation rate, campus setting (city/rural), average annual cost, ACT, SAT, GPA, enrollment size, acceptance rate and religious affiliation.
- School Profiles: Includes head coach and assistant coach names, emails, office numbers and social media handles; team social media pages; team and school website links; and questionnaire link. Offers suggestions for similar schools that have similar athletics, academics, cost and locale.
- Match Score: Ranks every program in your sport and divisions by how well it fits the athlete (major, location, campus setting, size, annual out-of-pocket budget and school type.
- Organizational Tools: Prospects can “favorite” schools and then rank them based on his/her interest. Prospects can enter notes and categorize each school with his/her recruiting status with that school (for example, “Offered Scholarship,” “Interested,” and “In Contact”). Also, prospects can email college
coaches from this platform with the replies going back to his/her personal email.
