Lucas Vincent, who lives in Olathe, Kan., played football for the University of Missouri from 2010 to 2014. Lucas was a 2-year starter at defensive tackle and played in all 53 games of his career and signed as a free agent with the Tennessee Titans in 2015.  While at Missouri, Lucas earned a bachelor’s degree in the science of agriculture. Lucas also holds a master’s degree in special education from Grand Canyon University and is pursuing a doctoral degree in organizational leadership, also at Grand Canyon. Lucas has worked in education for 10 years, spending 2 years as a special education para while working on his master’s degree, 6 years as an emotional/behavioral disability special education teacher, and 2 years as an academic and behavioral interventionalist.

In high school at Olathe North High School, Lucas was an Offense/Defense All-American, 2-time 1st-Team All-State selection, 2-time 1st-Team All-Conference, a Kansas Top 11 selection and a selection for the conference All-Decade team (2000s) in football. Lucas also was an accomplished wrestler. In his wrestling career, Lucas compiled a record of 112-13, being a 4-time conference champion, a 3-time regional champion, a 3-time state placer, a 2-time state finalist, a state champion, a 2-time Olathe Wrestler of the Year, a selection for the Kansas All-Class Team, and a 3-time member of the Kansas National Dual Team, earning All-American status.

Lucas has coached high school sports in both Kansas and Missouri for 10 years (wrestling for 10 years, football for 5 years and track and field for 3 years) with 6 years as a head wrestling coach at Shawnee Mission East High School (1 year), Olathe West High School (3 years), and Oak Park High School (2 years). Lucas started the girls wrestling program at Olathe West after girls wrestling became a sanctioned sport in Kansas. He took the program from 8 girls in Year 1 to over 70 in Year 4, being one of the biggest programs in the state. During his wrestling coaching career, Lucas coached nine state placers including a 4-time state finalist and a 2-time state champ, Makayla Rivera, who wrestles at Lindenwood University. Over his 10-year coaching career, Lucas helped dozens of athletes in their recruiting journey to earn college scholarships.

Lucas is excited to have the opportunity to help young athletes achieve their dreams of playing at the next level and continue playing the sport they love. With his background as a player going through the recruitment process and a coach who has helped his players through their recruitment process, Lucas wants to help the next generation have the same opportunities with sports he has had.
