Evaluations

Throws right and bats right. Is very athletic behind the plate, frames well, solid defensively and can get to bad pitches. Molly commands her pitchers well. Molly has a strong and accurate arm. She is a very focused and determined athlete, driven to improve with every opportunity, doing a lot of work on her own to further her improvement. Molly has decent size and power with the ability to hit to all fields. Molly is mechanically sound in her swing, and patient at the plate. She would be a 3-5 hitter in any lineup, and as a freshman was one of the top hitters in her conference. Her teammates and coaches would describe her as the informal leader on the team, always encouraging her teammates, and she’s very coachable. Molly is very intelligent. She is part of DECA, is a Student Council Officer and boasts a 3.9 GPA. Molly has a great softball IQ, is a very special athlete, and as she continues to grow and get stronger, she will be a valuable asset at the collegiate level.

Molly was our starting catcher her freshman year. From day 1 she was a team leader. She had a great rapport with our pitchers and is a very good communicator. Molly was great behind the plate with a very strong arm. I would say as a freshman, Molly was one of the top 2 or 3 hitters on our team and also one of the top hitters in our conference. She is very coachable and would be a great addition to any team she ends up playing for. Molly is a very good athlete, and more importantly a great kid.

Message from Molly

My name is Molly Kable, and I attend New London High School in Wisconsin. I’ll be graduating in 2022, and I play catcher, first base and second base. My height is 5-9 and my weight is 155 lbs. My cumulative GPA is a 3.98, and I want to go into Criminal Justice and Psychology for college. I was our varsity catcher freshman year while earning All-Conference Honorable Mention. I also won Nationals in 2018 with Point Fastpitch from Stevens Point (WI), and won Class A State in 2019 with FirePro Fastpitch. One thing that makes me stand out from others is how strong I am behind the plate. I know how to frame, as well as block and throw down to any base with a strong arm. I also have a strong swing as well. When I’m up to bat, I’m very patient and smart. I believe that I’m successful because I only look for my pitch and I always strive to have a good quality AB.

When I play softball, not only do I think about the next play, I’m also focused on what I have to do in order to be successful on every pitch. After every single inning, you’ll never see me jogging or walking on to the field. I believe how you get on the field tells people a lot about your desire to be playing. I’m also loud for my teammates in a positive way. I never say anything that can be negative. However, I will give my teammates feedback so that our team can get better. I’m unique in these ways because I love to have fun, while still getting my work done. It’s important that I not only push myself, but also my teammates. At every pitch, I talk to my teammates so I know where the ball is going in any situation. Behind the plate, it’s so important to be loud, and that is where I stand out from others as well. Besides going to games and practices, I practice softball every day. I believe T work is very important in being a good hitter. I hit off the T for a solid hour to an hour and a half, and then later in the day I hit live. In order to be successful when hitting live, I believe that working hard on the T and practicing good habits when swinging will help tremendously. I’m in my school’s strength & conditioning program as well. In this case, I can stay fit and keep getting stronger.

Outside of softball, I’m hardworking in school. I have taken honors classes during my freshman and sophomore years, and I’m continuing them my junior and senior years as well. This year I’m also planning on taking a few AP classes so I can challenge myself academically. I’ve been in high honors both semesters this past year as well. Some other clubs and activities that I’m involved in are volleyball, basketball, DECA and Student Council. This coming year I’m an officer for Student Council. I volunteer at basketball tournaments by running the scoreboard, as well as softball tournaments. I also help out around my community at a haunted trail that DECA takes part in. Overall, I try to participate in as much as I can to be the best self that I have to offer. Thank you for taking time out of your day to learn about me. I appreciate it greatly!
